This one was 5 pages shorter than the previous. A lot of action too, so if we don't pause to read dialogue, it will seem shorter all the more.

• They're casters, but are fighting in melee range.
• They apparently have zero situational awareness, letting enemies attack them from behind.
• They're not grouping into formations to avoid being caught from behind.
• They want to keep fighting even though their attacks are doing zero damage, and they've just had 2 out of 5 KIA.

Of course, it's a setup for the MC to be edgy reluctant OP and wreck some shit. Ok but it's not as impressive when the readers end up thinking that the people getting saved should have been handed Darwin Awards.
