It’s been 66 chapters… 66 chapters of the same repetitive boring bullshit, no character development, and the MC BEING ANNOYINGLY passive about everything whilst having the personality of a lobster. The “love interest” is one of the most annoying, NEEDY, and emotionally unstable manga characters ever regrettably put to paper since zenitsu from demon slayer. may GOD have mercy on this writers soul. Here’s a little number you may have heard before, a manga where the art is nice, the character designs are good, but the story goes FUBAR. its going nowhere folks. it’s rent a girlfriend 2.0. they should include a ” tedious,” tag on these mangas. I want my time back. Maybe in another 100 chapters we’ll get ”naoh senpai accidentally brushes her hand against rihitos thigh and compulsively obsesses about it for three more chapters until she whines and cries over a beer.” At this point the only way this manga can be salvaged is if the MC ditches the crazy chick and gets with her friend or the mc just fucks her already and moves far FAR away.

There are so many manga that have this type senpai-kouhai relationship in company, but this one are above these all.

How can the Author didn't ran out of ideas from this kind of plot and make every chapter really interesting, truly peak and masterpiece, can't wait for the next chapter.

That aside, I can't stress enough how much I love the scanlation for this series. The effort put into the typesetting and details across the board is absurd.

As tiresome as Noa may seem, her neurosis is all too real and I can't fault her for that. You could lift them up bit by bit, but all it takes is the wrong breeze to send it all crashing down. Rihito, as emotionless and dull as he may seem, is the perfect companion friend to her. He doesn't make grand outbursts, he tries to keep levelheaded and neutral, and he especially doesn't push her in a way that sends her over the edge.

You know what this is not as much of a fantasy as expected. This can actually happen irl, well of course the needy girl part is heavily exaggerated but for two people to show their real selves while keeping on a platonic relationship (that grows a bit deeper on one side because zero fucking friends before then) is perfectly believable.

+Confident as you've been through worse, caring pales in comparison (Care?, care?)

Your certainty of their care can affect your confidence, if you care a lot you might worry/want reciprocation, -/+, (Care, care?)
Nihilism could certainly boost confidence (No care, care?), which with your description I don't think would apply

I think your description is an overall logical degree or two above mine, not as fundamental
Yours was intriguing and I applaud it, I feel it's cobbled from seeing people look good, them being confident, resulting in a conclusion "they're able to manage their self image competently"


Anyway, this story is eh, ch7 friend praises her being a virgin, so emphasis on virginity is acknowledged, ch13 friend is found to be at least sugar dating, possibly being a prostitute, I'd imagine to secure her as a non-rival to fmc, needless

Started fun, but yeah the lack of any development sucks. I skipped from ~ch40 to the latest (~83) and not much has changed. Premise is fine, but I feel the crux of the issue is an overall lack of chemistry. I think it's fine if characters balance each other's energy levels, but...

Male lead is a brick wall. It's fine to be level-headed, but he's just so boring. Female lead is extremely energetic, but it feels like the story has her dragging an extremely apathetic dude around. He doesn't break out of his shell and show more emotion, she doesn't get over her low self-esteem and neediness. With so little relationship progress either, it feels like the author is padding for volume sales. The manga fails to illustrate an engaging, fun friendship nor exciting romance. Dropped 😵‍💫
