As opposed to other series having over-the-top interruptions like fireworks or some contrived bullshit to stop romantic progress, the romance between Noro and Hibiki is halted from a combination of the latter being nervous/hesitant and Yuka's arrival to really drive the last nail into the coffin (feels regrettably realistic).

Senba and Okamura, based on how they act, seem to not be heading in such a favorable direction, what with Senba being too shy to be honest, and Okamura still seeing her as a childhood friend (not to mention his perverse nature). And that’s totally okay; I appreciate an author who chooses to be realistic about relationship success rates in this genre of manga.

I liked how naturally our author handled LGBT relationships through Chinami. He didn't go over the top to present it to us nor fetishize her feelings, instead treating it naturally like any other relationship.

Would protecting a daughter be worth sacrificing an eye?
Probably just to "Satisfy" her demon when she made love with her love interest/FMC's father so the demon wouldn't go after him. Wouldn't surprise me that she severed ties in order to protect them both. (probably, the demon would be jealous of her paying more attention to her child rather then the demon, which may result in the demon going after the daughter), which is kinda tragic

We're coming off an arc that had Chikage's mom suddenly appear and curse Makoto to use his life as a bargaining chip so Chikage never associates with him again and becomes a "proper" witch. It was resolved solved in part by Uruchika being more powerful than all 3 head witches. It's incredibly contrived but it showed the strength and resolve Makoto and Chikage have to be with each other. All these other "relationships" end up looking much more frail and cowardly because of it.

It was a good conclusion to the whole relationship in this series. Still, I will lament the fact that not everyone gets a good ending. It's all bittersweet except for our MC.

Wish this would go longer :(

But at least it seems like it'd end on a good note

One more chapter, honestly I feel like it's not enough to wrap everything up in a satisfying way. The major things will obviously be handled, but there are a bunch of smaller lingering things that I think need their own chapter to really handle.

Hmmm, yes, I wonder who your real parents were, obviously not the lady with the eyepatch in front of you that has the same hair and eye as you, right?

Her parents abandoned her? Well, I doubt she'll ever find any trace of someone who could potentially be her mother. It truly would be hard to tell, it's not like she'll run into someone with her exact features in her day-to-day. Even if she did, there could be some big change in the person's appearance, like, say, an eye missing or something crazy like that. Unfortunately, there's just too many variables to ever know for sure who her mother could be

We assumed that her reason for cursing Makoto is that Chikage can become a "proper" witch.
But if Akaboshi is Chikage's mother, there is another explanation for her action

By becoming a "proper" witch, Chikage can defend herself against a jealous spirit. When that happens, Akeboshi can stay near Chikage—not as her mother, but still near her nonetheless.

From Akeboshi's POV, this is a plan she's been hoping for for 15+ years, only for it to be ruined in the last step. So it is understandable for her overreaction.
