Damn, I was hoping this was going to be the planned ending, and not some (likely) forced ending by the author.
It's still cute, and the ending message of "Taking it slow, you'll get there in the end", works not just in regards to getting to school, or even passing her witch trial, but their relationship (I'm sure they'll have sex one day!!) too.

If I had a complaint, it's that some characters just seemed to melt into the background and almost disappear (such as the chick trying to get into the more prestigious school to follow her crush), or the transfer student and the guy she banged - it felt like they, and their circumstances, just faded into the background.

But still, one of the better comics I've read through in a while.
I'd rate this a "Losing your virginity to a hot witch who loves you" / 10.

Everyone except the main characters got bittersweet ending in the end. The only thing mc’s didn’t have is seggs, and the last panels can be interpreted as they maybe did it. I mean it’s fine, but it feels a bit rushed and unsatisfying.

It's a cute ending, but the author should've been more direct about some parts of the story. I mean, it's heavily implied that the woman with the eyepatch is the MC's mother, it's heavily implied that they had sex at some point, but it ended with just that, heavily implied things. That's fine in a novel, but not so much in a visual medium like manga.

I honestly think only implying that she's the mother is good enough... The character design the emotions and the fact that she did a taboo I think are telling enough.....

So using the visual medium allows them to imply it better without actually stating it.....

Personally I think the ending is just a little worse because you didn't make use of the last few chapters.....

I feel the conflict didn't need to exist... Instead it should have had them being older and her conflict being if she was going to be a witch or not....

A random change in the tradition for no reason just feels really really forced....

I feel like it could have been a little more obvious they did it at the end, but I guess the late comment was to show the passage of time. My initial read was that he was just embarrassed seeing her naked body again. I didn't see anything ruffled in his clothes to imply he got nude as well. I'm not sure what the purpose of showing she failed her promotional exam was. I feel like the author could have made that part vague instead, or not shown it instead of having our FMC fail. I mean that was basically the main plot of the story. I'm also surprised we didn't get anything about her master. Maybe something that would reveal to her that her master had been dead for a while.
