Yukino’s last piece of narration and an email is for her mom, and that should be coming out to them once the pair arrived. It’s a good read, I can feel the vibe of a young girl searching her place in world she chose packed with her dreams, hopes, determination and disappointments when reality devours her. But in the end, she learned from the fall and backs her up with the woman who loves her so much and with her famous best friend, an ex idol.

Octave is so special to me. I can't imagine something like this releasing nowadays, and it somehow still feels ahead of its time. While part of me wishes we saw them meet up with her mom, I understand why it ended here and I think it's perfect regardless.

I'm so emotionally invested on the story I didn't want it to end.

Is it nice that something are left for open interpretation??? I guess it is...

It was a good manga, but I'm glad it's over. There was too much angst.

Yukino's lack of growth was frustrating, and she continued to do dumb things until the end. She's lucky to have Setsuko as her girlfriend, who loves her so much

Finally finished. Its complicated. Im aware it might resonate differently to each of us.
The ending was the best it could be for where it was at. But despite understanding that people do mess up and get lost like Yuki, for me the story failed to show enough development from Yuki to be satisfying enough. I mean, just right before she was about to kiss another girl and finally destroyed her friendship with Mika.
I guess coming out to her mom should be a great stopping point to show growth and how serious shes taking Setsuko now, but it still stung too much the things shes done and left a feeling it could still happen again.
Either way, i just wish it didnt went as far as it did so to preserve her character. For me, theres no justification for cheating so chapter 12 literally destroyed my experience. Well, if Setsuko wasnt the way she was it wouldnt end so well.

Angsty as hell, painful all around, and honestly a headache of a manga. Also lowkey the first yuri manga ive cried to (a single tear, how dramatic), I think it was when Setsuko and Yukino first had their fight. I dont think ill ever recommend this to anyone unless theyre a yuri veteran... Im not sure if i can even say i like it but it definitely made me feel things, Ima have to sleep on it and let it dwell on my mind abit.

The internalized and just straight up homophobic characters were realistic... but idk if Yukino's dense'ness was... maybe her shoes are too hard to relate to tho... so idk.

But I did like how Yukino grew as a character after 25ish chapters but I also felt she took some steps back, like how could she let Shiori almost kiss AGAIN her like that? imagine if Iwai saw that from the window, the fake out was crazy 😭. But Yukino definitely grew still dont get me wrong.

I also feel like Yukino shouldve told Setsuko about the glasses guy but after the Ozawa (french restaurant guy?) situation, any bringing up of glasses guy probably wouldve anhiliated the relationship for good.

Anyway, Setsuko deserves the world, and Kamo has GOT to be the worst friend ive ever seen in any yuri manga jesus😭😭😭✌️✌️✌️
