Sorry folks, I had meant to have this up earlier today. I'd run it through the machine at two o'clock this afternoon, put them in the folder to start checking it, and then my brother and sister in law brought my nephews over for a visit, and I ended up being busy for the next few hours. I only just remembered to finish everything about an hour ago. It didn't help that here in Pittsburgh it has been hot as shit the last couple of days, so my tolerance for sitting with a very hot laptop on my very large frame is quite low right now since I've not got any air conditioning right now.

God they're telegraphing this so obviously that it's ridiculous. They're going to present their thing, Kaibara's going to make fun of them and present his superior thing, which is going to take advantage of the hidden nuance in Hechikan's service that Kyogoku was trying to tell them here, it's going to look like a loss, then Hechikan is going to be his completely without pretensions self and say that both were satisfactory because they were designed with him in mind, it'll be a draw, Kaibara will say that Yamaoka was only saved because Hechikan was a magnanimous person, and the relationship drama is going to continue to have no resolution. And that's the best case scenario Seriously, not only is it repetitive, it's also genuinely deeply frustrating. After the admittedly deserved shellacking that was the Salmon Showdown, the natural narrative follow-up would be for the Ultimate Menu to have an unmitigated win, but the author is too busy glazing Kaibara Yuzan and ignoring his own character writing in favor of praising the series's initial villain to the high heavens. So frustrating.
