Koshihikari has been glazed since the chapter where Shirou taught how to cook a delicious rice. I wonder if it is really good compared to jasmine rice

Everyone's going " What'll happen to the Ultimate Menu " and nobody's going " ...We should get him to a doctor, hes VERY concussed for this to be happening ". Lol, poor Yamaoka.

Post-traumatic anosmia (complete) or Hyposmia (partial loss). Real thing, you CAN lose your sense of smell from a headinjury, but its more because the fibers in the nose tear on impact with the brain rattling in the head than it being " well he hit THIS spot of the brain so its gone now ". Thatd be more pseudoscience type stuff.

They better not do a " he hit the exact same spot and its back now " thing. Thatd be such nonsense.

I can tell you that the very first panels of the next chapter have him at the doctor’s office.

Bro is so mad about the rice he literally inserted himself into the story LMAO
That "Gekiga scriptwriter" is Kariya himself, since that was the kind of stuff he was writing for before Oishinbo.

Back in the day the word "manga" was considered "comic books for kids" so the word "gekiga" is made to describe manga that are more serious and dramatic, often with edgy violent content. It's like differentiating "comics" from "graphic novels".
Nowadays that kinda stuff is just called "manga" too (just maybe categorised as seinen/josei or whatever)

"Well, whoever he is, he sounds handsome. " - Yamaoka
