I am still holding out hope that both the mother and the daughter are totally normal, and they're just really poor communicators. The way they say things just make them seem super weird, but it'll be anything by it. No one has ever told them to mind their phrasing. She's just happy to have a dad again. I think that would make for a really interesting dynamic where the weird one in all this, the one who's reading too far into it and driving the plot is not the daughter pining for the father, but the father and his family I'm just being weirdos.

Well the obvious plan is revealed, as well as a partial justification: her mother wants another child but medically this may be difficult. That all was pretty easy to pick up. But there's still a lot we don't know; how did they find him, why does the mother want another child so badly, what sort of medical issue is she dealing with, is the end goal a family or for them to get a child and then leave without a trace...

There's a lot to know. But this is a significant step because the plan has been revealed to him. It's particularly interesting because it comes while he's still with his mom and sister, so there's room for him to turn back. He can realize that they were right, this isn't the horror ending where after he's moved in with them in a small cabin far away without internet or phone access they spring their plan on him. It's a heavy story beat that landed while he still has a lot of agency.

Because fucking crazy. The worst (best) villains are the disconnected geniuses who care nothing about anyone else when they know what they want. Like Lex Luthor.

I can't believe there are people here who still think Chika threw up because she saw Hiroto exploring Miyako's dungeon when she was already on her way to the toilet to puke. yeah but most western romances don't label it as "incest." a disney show had a step brother and sister be together and no one cared or called it that when it aired. maybe its just this generation that is subconsciously obsessed with it
