He appears to be struggling with some hidden feelings himself. It doesn't appear that its the mother and daughter alone that are moving things along instead he seems to secretly hope for it himself but still has sense enough to resist against the temptation (the panel with her top strap being loose). Chances are this is a "Tragedy" manga where the Oyakodon combo will push the sister further away if not to outright suicide, worst case scenario, and will successfully groom the dad into crossing the line. The ending will probably be something like the daughter grooming her own "incest" daughter to repeat the cycle, implying this will continue on forever like a force of nature.

I'm finally getting off this sickening story. But something I can't quite understand is how the rating for this series can stay at an average just over 8, for a story of toxic relationships that makes one's skin crawl. I'd understand a 5 or 6 at best.

He knows it's weird, but (understandably) the thought of trying to talk to his wife about the fact that her daughter is hitting on him is intensely uncomfortable.

Plus how much time has actually passed in the manga itself? I think it might have only been a month or so, so he might be hoping she'll stop on her own if he just ignores it long enough. Especially since he hasn't seen nearly as many red flags as we have.

The implications is a few months, almost a year it feel, like she moved to from middle to HS was when hiroto married miyako, so at least 6 months.

every chapter we go through this. he has known the daughter for YEARS, at least 2+. he meets her while she is in middle school, and the story starts when they move in together and she is in her second year of highschool. as far as we know, she didnt start flirting with him till they move in together. it has been implied that they have spent alot of time together before moving in, as the daughters friend talks about how she disappears over summer vacations (implying more than once). the real mastermind behind whatever this is is the mother. there has been no implication that the mother was in an abusive relationship with her stepfather, although its heavily implied it was sexual and her daughter was the result of that.
im really grateful for the chapter. this is my favorite manga right now. i cant wait to find out how the mother/daughter push the sister away. im guessing by the end of this arc the sister will be homeless or living with her mom, kid taken away and shes pregnant by whatever guy shes cheating with. or much worse considering what the daughter did the idol girl lmao.

The mom can't have any more kids. We don't know why. But she wants more kids. Specifically, she wants a male child so that they will have the papa again. Her whole plan was to find our specific man here, get him to fall in love with her, and then to have sex with her daughter so she'll get pregnant. The seduced thing is because it's part of za plan. That's the whole THING

Its been pointed out that the mom and daughter are trying to resurrect their previous papa by getting the mom pregnant, but since she has a weak constitution and possibly unable to birth a child, the daughter is the insurance.
