I'm not denying she fucked up. I think she is stupid and wrong. However, I'm not changing the fact that she has a lot going on. As my favourite term of words "I understand but don't agree." It's so pitiful how this is a "psychology" manga despite the vocal comments have black and white thinking. After all, it's obvious she doesn't have the best communication. She tried to explain to her mother how creepy the mom and daughter are to only have it shrugged off.

I don't think she was possessive. She admitted in her thinking she is co-dependent on him. She relied on him to solve all of her problems. Now she doesn't have him and making her own decisions.

But she is possessive of her brother. Him, her mother and now even her friend have commented about her never liking any partner he ever had. This is part is what has put her in this situation where people aren't inclined to believe her now that it's a real concern. A boy sister who cried wolf dangerous partner situation. While there's no denying that she's struggling in life, she is rather self centered and that is what causes her issues with other people (excluding her hunband so far). Telling your friend that is struggling with getting pregnant that she's lucky was rather insensitive because she only came out thinking about it from her current perspective.

She was in no way being insensitive. What made her friend flip wasn't the idea that there's upsides to not having a baby, but the idea that the sister was jealous of her. Because her friend is jealous of the sister. She deeply wishes she had the problems she had. She feels like a failure, she feels constant pressure, she sees the sister constantly bringing her kid along(because the husband won't care for him) as rubbing in that she's got a baby while the friend doesn't.

The sister isn't a selfish character. She's an impulsive one with a habit of letting her mouth get ahead of her, but she likes and wants the best for the people around her. We know her thought process. This is what's been so strange to me about the comments on this manga, because we know what people are thinking and feeling when the story tracks them. She's not possessive of her brother, she's protective. Her behavior may be seen that way, but she doesn't want to control him, but instead wants to protect him from women who take advantage of his kind, responsible, and giving nature. We know this because we hear her thoughts.

The wife/daughter pair used this to their advantage to drive a wedge between the siblings, just as they used the mother being unsettled and her outdated ideas about what a man should do and be to drive a wedge between him and his mother. His family likes him and wants the best for him. They're even happy to meet the wife/daughter pair and only start to get worried when they throw massive red flags into the air all around themselves.

Women have affairs either when their kids are a bit older or when they haven't had kids yet.
Unrealistic. If they wanted to make the sister character a sloot then they should have made her childless or made her child >3

Again, I'm not denying how much of an idiot she is! Haha. I just understand the character as she grew up very spoiled by her brother to give her what she wants all the time that she is finally struggling with her own decisions.

She feels guilty so she is afraid of being found out by the sharpest of the bunch, the step daughter.

We literally had people here in those threads several chapters that straight up wrote that marrying woman with a kid is wrong move and that MC's family was right in trying criticizing him for that choice. If sister divorced her husband, she would be in exact same position as MC's wife, and she could expect same treatment from any potential boyfriend and his family.

Which is why all those stupidly conservative mores against divorcing and remarrying are so harmful, because they actually result in more cheating as less socially dangerous (since it's easier to hide, especially if common enough in society to be treated discreetly by others) replacement for divorce.

This manga is way too dramatic, especially this arc. Was everything that happened with MC’s family THAT traumatizing? And Mayu is way too sensitive. Everybody has something we want and I understand wanting a child but why react like that? I am ready to move on from this arc, it feels way too ridiculous at this point.
