The author can not do perspective well, the original walls and now the dragons are all over the place in size from panel to panel.
the wall was single wood pieces but all the trees in the area were half the size, meaning they could not be used to make those walls.
The meat, scales and bones of dragons were from creatures about three time larger than the dragons we were shown.

That would be the artist, not the author.

For people who don't know how melee weapons are used

Katana is a very specialized weapon for unarmored opponent.

Hammers and other heavy blunt weapons are great against armor's

Sword's are less common than Spears since it cost more money

Armor's also very expensive

Overall the greatest weapon before the gunpowder era is the bow like weapons and spears

Couple things. Those were terrible kitchen knives if that's what those were. One was A kukri and the other was A machete with pointy bit down near the handle. that pointy bit would get in the way of using for using in the kitchen. Even as a butcher knife I don't see it working well.

The other thing is sake. Is that just a place holder for wine and a translation thing? Or does the author assume they drink rice wine in a western influenced fantasy world with no clear rice culture? I am going to assume that the Japanese work for wine is just sake. Also saying drink as much as you want but limit it to two cups sounds like a carry over from his salary man days. Pizza party at work but you are limited to one slice and a Dixie cup worth of soda. Or the Japanese equivalent.
