I highly recommend the novel as well!

If you are interested in various mythologies (Greek, Norse, Indian, and more...) then I recommend it even more!
The author is very creative in using the mythological stories of both famous and not so famous mythological characters.
If you do give it a try, don't let the 600 chapters deter you! It only gets better in the later chapters.

@avyfa Seriously??? That sucks. I just found this series the other day and it really grabbed my attention. I'm guessing it has to do with it having an official online english release on webtoons? Though that's only up to chapter 20 right now, on a weekly schedule it seems. So it won't be until March next year or something until they catch up... fml.
Edit: Up to 20 for free on the browser, but it looks like up to 27 if logged into and read on mobile. So just waiting until January, but still.

they did say they were getting DMCA'd. If you like the series, the official English version has a pretty good translation, too, though it's about 2 months behind Asura's latest translation. I have little doubt the unofficial translations will catch up/pass, but it's a good time/opportunity to make the switch & support the author!

@RyuukuSensei they got hit with DMCA for this and few other series on their website. And they were a part of the tl group exodus from mangadex some time ago. We are lucky that they didn't straight up dropped it the moment they got dmca.
They are just not interested in translating this series without putting it on their website (as fewer people donate to them).

@Hobnobs I think it's fair to put it on the second place in seinen manhwa on mangadex (after solo leveling). And yes, it's survival manga, but it's more about lvling that surviving.

@avyfa Yeah I just read up to chapter 26. So far it hasn't managed to piss me off like nearly every other survival game story out there. A few chapters in and you can already tell the tone of this manhwa isn't meant to be edgy bullshit torture porn despair shit.

Yeah, flame scans picked this series, so we can still read orv on mangadex.

@avyfa it would be a crime to put this under solo leveling. Ive read both novels through and ORV is way better in terms of characters, worldbuilding, and just writing overall. Solo is mostly a generic power fantasy after jin woo gets accustomed to his power and the story goes downhill after ants. ORV keeps rising in quality the more you read and get invested in the characters and story.

@storse Well, we only have 30 chapters of ORV to judge, so it's a bit unfair to compare SL and ORV. I just hope that ORV will maintain quality level, but I read too many manhwas that went from 10/10 to 6/10 after ~ 50-60 chapters.
