Kurosawa would rather desecrate the symbolic image of the class than actually try to bridge the chasm and learn them. Unlike Nagaoka, who will always accept people for who they are. Which is exactly what drew Kurosawa to Magister (lol wtf is that name) in the first place. But he saw her as beautiful and intellectual therefore above himself.
