Best boy don't waste time. One week from realization to depression to basically-a-confession. Whether or not that's a good idea...

I really like this manga but I don't like where it's going, because the route is obvious

I don't think it's very obvious due to the huge age gap and how direct Sui is about her feelings - going so far as to explain them to Midori who only views her as his little sister effectively. Not to mention for all their issues, her sister and Midori do like each other. Add in the title, and it's ?? for me.

There's an equal chance there's some time skip at some point and connection, or it's simply about her first love and moving on from it, but obviously the "ship" is there from the start (but again, 14-15 vs 21-22 is a huge gap at these ages and time will tell)

Yeah, I was thinking about a time skip route where he broke up with the sister

In over 4 years of reading all kinds of Manga. It's first time I'm rooting for a NTR plot.

Is there a chance to get away from using "Ya" and go with original (I assume) "Un". Or something similar?

It was fine at first but it really grew on me in last few chapters. Especially since in some conversations it felt really out of place. Or maybe I can't get intended pronunciation in my head? Food for thought!

Btw. P.27, first bubble. There's an error. Mixed up order of words in sentence

Ehhh I like the childhood friend. I think it's nice if we get a "secondary male lead" win every once in a while. Best boy deserves it, and there's no need to break up a happy and healthy couple. Especially with the age gap, it's sensible to have him being the first failed love before moving on to the actual guy. Kinda like Hirunaka no Ryuusei.

I guess as shoujo manga readers we grow a bit used to stories where everything seems like fate since the beginning, so it's always the first guy and we all cheer for the secondary lead knowing he won't win anyway. But it doesn't have to be like that, and I'd be happy if this was the case.
