He probably didn’t expect him to move so quickly. It’s been like a day since he left, he’s being extra petty.

He seems to just be a douche, no real reason for it, but so far:

-Dude apparently “fell in love” with a widowed single mother despite having a wife and kid of his own.

-He then basically harassed Kurena’s mom with constant confessions despite her already telling him she was not yet over her deceased husband until he eventually wore her down.

-Mind you they didn’t even live in the same city, so dude was taking the train to Tokyo every other weekend or so, leaving his wife and son behind for god knows how long just to chase after her despite her protests.

-He also lied to Kurena’s mom about being single the whole time but she eventually fell in love him.

-His wife found out about the affair though so he abandoned Kurena and her mom and just stood by as the mom got publicly humiliated.

-With his family already broken, dude then seemingly took out his frustrations on his son by putting him down and discouraging him from studying art.

-End of the day, our MC didn’t make it into art school, which no doubt got a good kick out of the dad, but he still supported him.

-Now that he found about his son’s relationship with Kurena though he's completely cut him off cause he doesn’t want anything to do with Kurena and her mom so as not to “destroy his family”, despite already doing so with his own 2 hands.

Dude is without a doubt one of the scummiest fictional characters I’ve come across in a long time.
