I think the producer is saying that Yoil doesn't have the talent to actually do that. They can't play polar opposite roles. Frankly, they can't pull off being hyperfeminine flat out. Yoil should rely on her natural beauty and attitude. It would save her anyway. That's what Mooyoung was saying too. She was less annoying before.

Banger chapter! I love the hard pushback we're finally getting from Mooyoung and Producer-san from fem!MC going too far with the girly-girl stuff we're getting. Producer-san is right to be a bit miffed about it considering he told her to do the exact opposite and to "own" her personality instead of copying the idealized "swan"-like femininity of Lee Ruha in a nice pep-talk post monthly evaluation only for fem!MC to double down hard lol. and Mooyoung tad touch of the 'tism makes her weirded out and confused by fem!MC trying way too hard. go off cool nerdy girl with abs! She probably (i'm not sure if shes been a trainee for long) saw the same thing is happening to fem!MC as did happen to Suryeon (personality change) and seeks to avoid the same outcome.

lol, imagine giving the promising trainee a special peptalk as the producer on her first evaluation to stick to herself and show her true self into the world. only for her to do the exact opposite twice as hard. i'd be mildly dissapointed too!

Love to see Gongwon's character development though! On the matter of Yuri, as always the author depicts even the antagonists in a relatively human manner (esp. for korean manwhas.), we get to see Yuri not being a complete total bitch towards the MC, not saying she's good to the MC though. In the first case fem!MC really needed that talking down from Mooyoung even if she was very direct about it and the second case is more seeing fem!MC no longer as competition on her crush on Gongwon.

I wonder what's next for fem!MC's steps to revelation. this is just the first (1) out of god knows how many chp on this arc and it already starts off strong with both Producer-san and Mooyoung critizing fem!MC. My guess next chapter is So-ae and Manager-san (both hinted in this chapter) will be involved and the penultimate is Lee Ruha?

I mean Lee Ruha's isn't so rosy either. her life was very miserable even if she became a very successful idol. And it only really turned around after she met male!MC and resolved her stalker situation. She has no friends with no ulterior motives, an outcast. and her off-stage persona got usurped by her on-stage persona. Her internalizing her "cold bitchy queen" persona fully as something that is innately part of her, despite it being just a persona foisted upon her by the execs of that idol show.
