the only big diffference is they put the hot springs trip from chapter 18 at the end, including Asahi and Miyo the trip, rather than the Manga's path, where the hot springs trip happened before Mahiro went back to school (also, in the Animé, Mahiro CHOOSES to take the TS potion after careful consideration, whereas in the manga, it's more rushed, but the main theme of "Not sure which way I will go in the end, but for now I'm gonna go with the flow" is still there). As for where to start, chapter 39 is the next one chronologically, but there were a few non-adapted chapters so I'd still recomend starting from the begining and skimming, at least.

It's still nice to see another form of mahiro and everyone. I think the anime adaptation did great. I don't think it would be that funny if the anime is literally like the manga from head to toes.

this is probably my favorite manga out of the 3 ive read, and anime out of the 7 ive watched (stupid netflix animes arent very good from my experience)

The plot and idea was good at the start and was actually unintentionally dark, that being, a sister who had no other option but to literally drug her brother in order for him to even talk to her and the journey of him not only having to learn the realities of being a "woman," (the author's somewhat sexist interpretation of) but being slowly exposed to how his laziness and selfishness affected his sister. It could have remained at that and would've made actually a pretty solid story, but instead the author had to include uncomfortable scenes of a child in various stages of undressing which perpetuated this community into arguing and whining about scenes which are very clearly a child in revealing situations.
This has become no more than a child beauty pageant, as there is no more actual storyline or any real sympathy between the audience in the characters, that the author is forced to throw in these revealing scenarios involving a child character more and more, using their great art style for a bunch of weirdos on the internet to gawk at. There is no way to justify deliberately including scenes portraying a child in various states of undress or erotic clothing, such as, a playboy bunny suit, a skimpy two piece with a cutout, nothing but a towel, and even naked at times, let alone even complain about that being "censorship." It is sickening to see such a dogmatic fan base willing to accept the unacceptable.

I didn't hate it early on. But I was shocked it got an anime adaption.
The whole premise was basically...MC is such a shut-in loser that she had to turn him into an adolescent female to get him out of the house. And he just went along with it. Like yeah...okay...this is legit. Or "I'm so lazy Idc. Just wanna watch porn and play games all day. Mehhh."
And...even for a genderbender that sounds super weird. I was never able to get over the circular logic involved.
I think it would have been a lot better overall if the author had been trans or something, so that they had more of a real world understanding of the transition aspect involved, and what 'Womens issues' mean for someone who has lived as the opposite gender their whole life.
And mainly, it would have been alright if the author didnt make it so weird and cringey as the story progressed. It still wasn't bad at first, but subsequent plot arcs got creepier for sure. The above post said it well IMO. The author really didn't seem to understand healthy social boundaries.

I love this manga and it's near and dear to my heart and when it ends it will leave a massive hole but in the end this manga changed me for the better as stupid as it sounds can't wait to see how it raps up
