The conversion rate increases with the "world" time, not his subjective time: by killing the bosses in as little rewind as possible, he is actually speeding up towards the next difficulty increase without grinding extra levels

On the other hand, waiting to kill them increases the difficulty for the current and all future bosses, plus it kills off possible allies (that die in the harsher environment) locking him out of the bonus scenario missions.

His power is that when he dies, he restart from the last checkpoint, but keeps his stat, and now his equipment: this way, by repeating the same day times and times again, he increases his strength, while the bosses stay the same. Conversely, by rushing to kill the bosses the moment he is barely able to, he is just making the whole thing harder in the long run.
