I'm kinda disappointed with this outcome, tbh. The original issue was "we won't allow you in even if you can make the sword disappear, because you'll still take it out during combat", which this is still the exact same scenario as. They would've had the same outcome as this if they'd walked away, vanished the sword like the original plan (instead of "vanishing" it into a ring), and then walked back through "without" the sword like they did this time.

I was kinda hoping Laplace would instead just make a more badass dress that could actually fit with the broadsword instead.

(edit: I guess to be clear, I know this was just an excuse for a yuri ring scene, but I think this being the justification for it feels kinda dumb even if the scene itself is cute)

Tanya may need to have a word with Laplace about the concept of 'a buffet,' it appears. (On the flipside, I'm assuming that is a delicious cheesecake, which could meet no more noble end than at the hands of these two ladies.)

Wait, what difference sword ring with dimensional-whatever sword storage from previously?

The doorman said that her sword is mismatch with the dress even during combat, and that Laplace solution? I know what the doorman said is stupid, so why even bothered to showing the sword to him.

Came here to say exactly this.

It was stupid, of course, but
If the issue was just the sword being visible, the idea of a pocketspace Laplace had given earlier would have been accepted. The (idiotic) reason it did not work was that if the sword was needed it would still not fit the dress.

...Unless there is a surprise sword transformation whenever it is unleashed (which we know it will be).

And I'd bet that it is the princess approaching...

Aw so she didn't go for the badass Berzerk armor route to match with her greatsword?
That's still an option... Laplace is there..
What can be done to a sword can be done to a dress.. ;)

Hell... Could be as showy as a Magical Girl Transformation.... Only more... functional... than a frilly dress with a skirt not quite long enough .... It'd fit the theme of the manga..
