I believe themes may feel spoilerish to some people.
Sometimes, a mangaka may be deliberately ambiguous about the nature of a character until a big reveal later. If someone updates the Themes to include "Vampires", well… there goes the ambiguity.
Or perhaps the big reveal is that it wasn't isekai, but Time Travel. There goes it again.
Aliens or monsters?
And so on and so forth.
The settings could include an option: "Hide Themes by default", which would cause the Themes to appear as an Unhide button in each series page. People would still be able to change their minds for a specific series by clicking the button, and the Themes would still be available for searching and filtering out from the Front Page.
Sometimes, not knowing everything a story is about is desirable.
