Author seems to avoided the fate of being too dependent on isekai knowledge for technology development. The machine gun in previous episode seems to be developed independently by human native to this world. The general staff is also said to be modelled after human’s creation.
There’s also possibility that war had been fought with guns since even before Gustav was born.

Oh you're right! I forgot about the elves with that, the forst pretty much just give them babies!! Guess you're right they might be not compatible, shame would have been interesting to see if was born an orc, elf or a mix

Actually, since elves originally had males, and the whole "new elves are produced by trees" was something done by an isekai human-turned-elf-queen, maybe it's possible to wind that back and allow for normal procreation again?
Because otherwise, since the light elves cut down all of the trees that produce dark elves, Dineru's people are the last generation of their race.

Guns are already used for over a century in world, that battle of Rozalind is fought with musket and napoleonic line infantry, so we're in the equivalent of late Victorian/pre WW1 era

It's quite an achievement to have so many chapters on logistics without it being boring. Ascendance of a Bookworm is the only other example I can think of.

The writing in this story is excellent. Japanese writers usually only create superficial decorations and dislike delving into simulation and realism. I occasionally compare this story to Hitoner, even though the genres are different, there are some similar elements. The world of Hitoner completely falls apart if you poke it even a little, but I don't feel the same way about the world of Orcsen.
