Like others said, unless there is indeed a translation error in the last section, what he said sounds straight up ominous. It needs clarification.

It's more likely closer to "due to my presence others can't approach you so you are missing out on genuine love" kind of thing which might be true in this case since they were very close since childhood and i don't think she ever had any interactions with any other boys and dude knows this.

"She is the kindest on Earth, no the Universe. Therefore, I can't misunderstand. Surely, even if it wasn't me, you would've fallen in love."
The point of confusion is きっとおれでなければ (romaji: kitto ore de nakereba). Run through a MTL, it'll say "If it wasn't for me", but from my understanding of Japanese and how this line specifically has been used in other media, it's more accurate to say it's "even if it wasn't me".
