I have a feeling this kind of scene is probably far better done in the LN. I should try to read it I guess.

I know exactly what you mean. Its feels as though the author is forcing the fact that Pansy has a deep understanding of the MC's situation and it's kind of annoying. The MC is trying to fix it himself since that is the root of his inferiority complex, but this girl, out of no where, just abolishes his confidence by stating his problem out right in attempts to solve it. I think she had gone around it in the wrong way, especially the fact that she tried to boost his confidence by saying that he has her as his admirer. That's kind of a bitchy thing to say, especially since her feelings are one sided. I do like Pansy, but that wasn't cool at all.
Everyone else gets to do what they want and they are good at it, whereas the MC has nothing and doesn't really know what to do, and he's pushing himself to find that, no matter whether his intentions are self-gratifying. All Pansy did was call him out and shit all over him because she thinks he's working to hard.

Yay! Plot. That old man is kinda annoying though. What else does he want besides an apology? The restaurant doesn’t even really need to pay for his clothes either (at least they don’t in the U.S.). Another beer and a sorry is the best I would do. People get stuff spilled on them/ spill stuff all the time. Get over it. Also I don’t know about the in Japan, but if someone put hands on me, threatened me, and yelled at me that’d warrant a call to the police. Really curious what the guy would have done if another customer spilled that beer. I’m sorry, but that guy was 200% in the wrong and should not have been treated that nicely after, and maybe if you have a super important manuscript (or anything paper) don’t bring it into a restaurant and then order a beer.

Anyway, back to the plot. Kinda curious where inferiority complex will go from here. Great chance for his character to grow.

@TNT261 Not sure what restaurants you frequent, but if a server dumps food/drink on a customer, the restaurant will pay to get it cleaned. Now granted, that guy has been a bastard since day 1. Usually customers aren't that bad.

Just because someone likes him and is on his side doesn't make him the most talented or skilled person, even if it is a really clever and beautiful girl. He even show's that by asking her why Pansy truly likes him, and she doesn't give a satisfactory response. Obviously he's going to feel like shit. You are just taking this at face value bro.

Yea, his reaction makes sense, even if its more out burstic than most people would actually do. He feels inferior because he isn't especially talented or good at anything. While this manga does a lot of wrong, his inferiority complex in this instance is not one of them.
