@Hell_Satan Yeah, that was a mix of a few things lining up I suppose. They weren't hunted as food like the boars, so they were perhaps worth a bit less in comparison. While expanding human territory, they inevitably displaced and came into conflict with wolf populations in the forests they were cutting down for lumber or to make more space to build on. Government officials put bounties out on them 'cause they were getting dangerous on their last leg, and farmers were happy to take them up on that offer. Get paid for killing the things that keep attacking your livestock or even friends and family? Two birds, one stone.

The boars are dangerous as well and all, but they're mostly either a nuisance or a food source rather than a particularly notable threat to public safety.
