Sure, right here:

N.B.: While what you are saying is not literally black-and-white nor incorrect, using phrases like "almost never" creates the impression of black and white thinking by the time someone's finished reading it and the words are simplified into the meaning stored in short-term memory. In terms of logic, you are technically not wrong. In terms of communication, your word choice communicates a message different from your literal word choice and likely different from your intention.

Similarly, your insistence that facial attractiveness is controlled so strongly by genetics that it takes a pitbull attack to change it goes completely against the visual example I posted above. Anyone with eyes would see a massive difference in facial attractiveness between the before-and-after, and it's entirely due to environment and not genes because it's the same guy. His bone structure hasn't changed, but if you asked people to rate his face you would get wildly different scores before and after. THAT is treating genetics as "the one true explanation."
Good points about communication and stuff. I accept your point that "almost never" does sound close to 0% (although I would contend that this is an accurate impression of the rarity what I'm describing) , however that post you link to in fact describes the negative effect that environment has on the beauty of people in extremely deprived, violent environments.

This does not contradict that genetics is the predominant cause of beauty across general society though, and even in this case I'm talking about Yumezora going from an 9 or a high 8 down to a 7 to high 6 , so her genes are still having the larger impact.

as for your example of that killer having a glow-up I can grant that significant environmental "glow ups" can happen but it is the case that they form such a low % of cases and rarely have such a large effect that they still don't account for much of the variance of individual differences in beauty in western society as a whole in comparison to genetic differences.

Yumezora isn't innocent, just look at this page and you see she is the worst one of them all.
"but she isn't manipulating anyone", "she isn't doing on porpuse!"
Really? lol I bet she is even manipulating us, the readers. Just because her past was really bad, doesn't mean she is excused to do shit behaviours tho.
The only character I believe is Gomi to be honest.

oh shut up people like you who just throw aside trying to be a better person by just blaming it on looks frustrate me.
You may be the best person but if you ugly and poor nobody cares about your best person.

people prefer personality over looks
Just go into the real world, especially in the real dating, and don't write bullshit.

How was reading the comments nearly as exhausting as reading the chapter???
Only manga that are interesting and provoking generate this level of commentary. All else considered, at least it's not boring! I've seen award winning "peak" manga with less discussion and some of those, you've got to admit, induce more yawns than debate.

But as women start working and get older into their twenties they care more and more about how successful a man is both because they find it sexy that a man is able to climb hierarchies and be higher status and more competent than other men (women find competence sexy) and also because they start seriously thinking about whether a man would be a good provider for their future family.
Women aren't interested in real competency and such bullshit. They are just interested in high status and money. Money is above all.

Still nope, sexual harassment requires interaction with the victim in some manner or deliberately creating an unwelcome environment. Talking about stealing her pads would be sexual harassment, the act itself (if done privately) doesn't meet the threshold. You could maybe hit him with stalking specifically because it was a repeated behavior, but not sexual harassment. It he did it literally once and never again it's not illegal, just fucked up and weird. Specifically because it was a repeated behavior stalking is a possible charge.
Did you just say that used period pads at the WORKPLACE and was used by a COWORKER isn't a crime? It is sexual harassment. Dude, he took the pad from the bathroom.
I'm just going to point out here:
You are both sort of right, but I'd point out to @pink_rabbit:
Remind me, how did she discover it was Gomi stealing her pads to jack off with?
Right, a toilet camera in the bathroom. That ended up recording everyone.
That's...yeah that's not going to help her hostile workplace case, and infact would open her up to disciplinary action from the company as well as civil action from anyone she recorded (at least in the US, it is slightly different in Japan I believe)

How this thing SHOULD be solved int he real world is Yumezora going to HR to report her pads going missing and leaving the investigation to HR. If the business ignores her complaint or doesn't act on it with due dilligence, at that point it is hostile workplace.

A standards-meeting investigation would likely be bag or pocket search next time she reported her pad missing. They would locate the perpetrator that way discreetly.

Stealing used pads from the bathroom likely doesn't violate any corporate policy because "holy fuck why do we need a rule for that", but corporate could then create such a rule (though more generalized like "taking items from a coworker, even those that have been discarded intentionally") and if Gomi violated it he would be open to disciplinary action. Though its more likely they would then gin up a non-used-pad reason to fire him because holy fuck.

source: involvement in SH/HW investigations at a few jobs.

Nothing quite as fucked up as jacking with used pads, but nothing quite like being in the room with GC while the executives try to figure out the fastest way to fire a creeper who technically wasn't breaking any existing rules that won't expose them to liability especially since the incident is documented.
The execs ended up going nuclear option because the person was..... let's say not cishet, so the execs were concerned with a lawsuit if they fired them, they were also concerned about a lawsuit plus an incident if they didn't fire.
So they actually just "realligned business trajectory", laid off the entire team (hence no concerns of targeting), used the "sustained internal investigation" corporate rules to black-ball the offender from rehire, and just quietly hired back 8 of the 13 over the next month (one of them effectively exiting the job market, 3 of them finding new jobs before they realized this was a wink-nod situation, and I dunno what happened with the last person)
Of course this was all HYPOTHETICAL of course.
Just like the GC's admonitions to never, ever talk about this in email or any meetings with recorded minutes.

god forbid men have hobbies :pout:
Exactly. "Get a hobby, improve yourself" and the minute a guy does....

I suspect this is a bad case of unreliable narrator, but I do think those things happened to her, goody gock, that'd explain why she is, the way she is. Damn.

Stinky old man... shave put on lotion and a deodorant, those alone will make a world of difference, and as for you being fat, i am not even going to say to do exercise, but just change diets, all your complains are self inflicted

As for the economy, yeah i guess that one is out of your hands, but everything prior is on you man

That said, it is a good thing that you are a disgusting stinky old man without the level of decency to properly go bald, because you are the kind of scum going after high schoolers, so the fact that your nasty aura is keeping them at bay is actually benefiting everyone, including ironically, your nasty ass by protecting you from committing a crime
I don't recall him going after high schoolers-- just him mentioning that the most acknowledgement he gets from society is high school girls calling him "stinky".

She just likes con-noncon on herself.
"con-noncon"...?

maybe we need to evolve backwards

Also the idea that it's impossible to like being raped or that anyone with fantasies about being raped is really just into consensual non-consent is a false simplification.
I don't think so-- the implication of "rape" is that it's unwanted. I wouldn't regard your later example as "liking being raped", because they necessarily didn't like the rape-- they may have grown to like the fact that they were raped, but that's different.

Fair enough, there's the matter of statutory rape, or the rape of the impaired (either through drugs, being asleep, or mental diminishments like brain injury or defects)-- so I suppose someone can have the fantasy of having sex while having Down's Syndrome.

Also, page of Yumezora grabbing multiple packets of drugs and somehow popping them all open at once and dropping them into her mouth faster than Gomi could react doesn't make any sense lol.
You can't pop multiple of those holes open at once, let alone get them all to drop into your mouth at the same time.
she's practiced this maneuver before

So yeah like I said a few chapters ago, abuse victims are more likely to be bad people, as are people with criminal/crazy parents.
I don't think it's proper to summarily label them as "bad people" when the exact problem is that their abuse has demoralized them and/or skewed their worldview such that the way they view the matter of "acceptable behavior" is both deviatory from the mainstream conception and is harmful to life.

Can you imagine tho, having an acquaintance in that field like "Hey Aunt lily, you're a law consultant right, do you mind if i ask you a creepy question about this fictional chara and if it would be something actionable if someone did this in real life" (Which i mean i'd hope so but even if they didn't go all the way to a court room i'd hope most bosses would fire someone like that on the spot)

Actually, I have asked to someone who does law in my family. They said that it is possible to record and defense for Kuroko if the laws aren't that strict as you can record in someone's home in Japan. I often ask questions about fiction and the crimes. It's quite sad how many are defending Gomi for his sexual harassment instead of Kuroko when there are no other women in the work place. Not to mention, sexual crimes are often untouched and ignored in Japan.

What I like about this story is that you think you got this shit figured out but then you round a corner and the author fucking hits you with a new unexpected blunt object from a random ass angle you forgot about. I honestly hope that the ending is something akin to a mass psychosis freakout like in Paranoia Agent. My suspicion is either we're near the end of the story, and we get a cute timeskip to a cozy family life or the author says "fuck it we ball" and start getting really fucking disco with it.

I really just don't buy it. A 500 lb lardass with perfect genes ain't going to be prettier than someone average who exercises and eats healthy. You could argue that winding up a 500 lb lardass is behavior, and that behavior is downstream from genetics & environment, but that would be a goalpost shift from "genes = pretty" to "behavior = pretty" that tacitly concedes the point I'm trying to make while trying to maintain a reductionist monocausal frame. Doubly ridiculous when hitting 500 lbs can't be achieved through genetics; it REQUIRES being born into an environment after the industrial revolution to get that caloric surplus.
