It's a direct reference to Kuroko's belief that there are no eternal happy endings in real life. She talked about this before.
Traditional shoujo manga almost always end at the peak of happiness for the heroine, but if they were to continue, in her view, they'd never be as happy.
And in Kuroko's logic that means that she'd rather die when she's at her happiest and finally fulfill her dream to be the heroine of her own shoujo manga story so to speak.

If you see this manga from a bird's eye view, it's really about two people who want to be the protagonists of their own stories.
Gomi wants to be a shounen hero, the cool, special guy who saves the heroine.
Kuroko wants to be a shoujo heroine, the princess who gets saved by the prince and lives happily ever after.

Deep down they both actually have really pure and innocent childlike dreams.

The only problem with the latter is that Kuroko thinks this is only achievable in fiction because shoujo stories end right when the couple gets together and are at their happiest. So to replicate it in real life, she has to die at such a moment. Otherwise she will only live to see the happiness crumble (she believes this will always happen because of her years of abuse)
that makes sense. They're probably going to fight over this next chapter.

If I stop reading here, it’s going to be the happiest ending I’ll get out of this, which is pretty poetic considering the last panel’s words.

Okay i just know the next chapter will be the climax that either ends in a vicious cycle where Kuroko bears a child that will grow up to be like her or uhh something worse no in-between

You know what? I suspect that this whole thing will shake out with the FMC dead by her own hand and Gomi stuck carrying the baggage but bizarrely not connected to the crime - pretty much where he started at the beginning, but now unemployed and in Bali

Whenever Japanese get the chance, they depict Indonesian and other east-asian people as incompetent. Oh well

My prediction is her mother will call, tell something stupid, like she needs drugs, or will attempt a suicide, and Kuroko will return, and most possibly drag our boy with her

its nice that after all the arguments over these past few chapters we can all come to together here after seeing where these two screw-ups ended up and say "yeah, they're fucked"

"we're not the police" I mean a holding cell would be hard to have in a plane but aren't there air Marshalls or whatever in charge of dealing with criminals and sudden hijackings (but you'd think they'd be flagged before boarding unless they just got the info)

Lmao their eyes when being told welcome to Bali
