I actually like that, it shows he's dead serious and not being super emotional. Telling someone you hate them with a normal expression is much more stinging than doing it while angry because it shows that you dismiss them so much that they're not even worth getting angry over.

i mean, i don't disagree with that. But whatever face he's doing at that panel is anything but serious lmao

Ngl I am interested in seeing where it goes from here. Hanabi finally realizing she's hated might make her try to fix herself...but her becoming worse might be infinitely more interesting.

Given how often I've seen mangas go the "double down" route, it would honestly probably be infinitely more interesting for her to not look at this situation and become worse. It'd be more interesting to see her filled with regret and try to fix things, but eventually be forced to realize that some things are beyond fixing.

I found all of these by checking the scan group's Titles list, except the one with the elf and the redhead. For that one, I had to use the Windows snipping tool to screenshot that specific cover, and then run it through google reverse image search (luckily Snipping Tool automatically copies whatever you capture with it to the clipboard, so it's easy to paste it into google lens).

For the I hate your guts line, I think the MC's supposed to come off as confused. It's like "duh, of course I hate you, you've been torturing me for years, when you touch me I have a Trauma response. I mean, I don't want you dead, and I hope you can become a complete person before you destroy anyone else, but like never speak to me again."
Let's make on thing clear, Hanabi is an abuser. By in large, abusers don't want love, they want control. Hanabi might think she and the MC were in love, but she never wanted a partner, she wanted a possession.

I forgot—did the MC explain to her why he hates her? If not, he really needs to make it clear. She's obviously oblivious to her faults and seems to fully believe she's not doing anything wrong, or she just doesn't realize it. All I've seen is the MC ignoring her, telling her to stay away, and eventually saying, "I hate your guts."

I think if he explains it to her, it might help solve the problem, and hopefully, she'll understand and change for the better.
