what really caused the "open heart" imo was the the true denial that he did to her, she did all this planning and horrible s**t to him and it all blew up in her face, she even broke her own leg due to her own foolishness, yet Mc still reached out to her not because he like her but because he's a good person.

this was probabaly the very first time she saw Mc as a person and not "mY SEmPaI".
