It's true that Shunsuke and Kiyoka have a more abstract relationship right now. Shunsuke doesn't really do anything with Kiyoka other than be an inspiration for her stories. He's not training with her like Hinaki did. Kiyoka hates these kinds of events, but here she was willing to go all out. Kiyoka wants to do her best to impress Hinaki, because Hinaki did her best to go to her pace and help her out. And that's something she hasn't really experienced before.
But at the very least, Shunsuke here is noticing Kiyoka's feelings, and knows how to respond to them. He's willing to listen to her express things, which is a good thing too. She was trying to keep it repressed, but he wants her to know that she's not alone here. There's always someone waiting for her.
Hinaki seems annoyed that Kiyoka is hanging out with Shunsuke alone again, but I'm sure she saw that they were just being friends at the moment. She didn't want to interrupt that and ruin things for the both of them.
