well, best case scenario is they're in a different class with altered memories, they don't neccessarily need to die or move away

The third volume is scheduled for release this winter, and while this does look like it could be the setup for wrapping things up, "struggling" would be speculation either way and not something anyone's confirmed.

Honestly I'm just really tired of people screaming about AXE!! any time any manga ends, regardless of whether it was intended to end that way or not. Especially when they do so pre-emptively.
Its definitely a writing strategy so authors are able to bail out when they get axed out of nowhere. At least this way, they're able to end the story neatly or transition nicely to another arc.

It's akin to 100GF's Hahari and Hakari arc.

Not necessarily going to be that the manga's ending soon (also it's not an "axe" either way), it could be that the "deluge" consists of "temporary" Karins and the end of the arc ultimately makes them all go away. Remember, that was the original premise - that Yuu needed to pick a Karin, and if he didn't then she would disappear. It could be that these Karins are actually the parts that he doesn't like - or, put another way, the possible future versions of Machihashi Karin that he wouldn't love, or that wouldn't love him.

And from a meta perspective, this manga isn't (and shouldn't try to be) 100-kano. Four Karins is absolutely enough, maybe with another one or two added in the future, especially if the author doesn't plan to actually end with Yuu choosing a single Karin and the others disappearing.

It's too hot! Let's all cuddle in a pile and share body heat!

Make it make sense, mangaka.
Not sure why he's trying to avert his eyes. They're only in swimsuits. What do Japanese men do when they go to the beach? Bury their heads in the sand? :ROFLMAO:

And somehow it's okay for them to ogle his body, but not for him to ogle theirs? They've already made it clear they like each other, this is a normal part of being in a relationship.
Yeah, I'm tired of this trope. He should get over it, keep them from unifying until graduation, then single-handedly save Japan's birthrate.

I can’t believe we’ve gotten to the “Oops! All Karins” arc

Eh, I could say that maybe the author is doing this to differentiate it from 100GFs? I think that our tendency to read a ton of manga have impeded our judgment over whether a manga’s arcs are due to it being cancelled or whether the author just… wanted to do it that way.
Yeah, but it's hard to imagine many arcs that could come after one like this where a bunch are introduced at once without majorly changing the premise. Like this had to come eventually, but it's definitely an indicator of things heading into the endgame, whether by intent or because of the axe.

This makes me worried. I heard the manga was struggling a bit a while back. Hopefully this isn't the end game scenario.
The guy is already working on a series on Jump+ so as far as keeping himself afloat he already secured an alt bag

So which mechanism for the Karins would you prefer? Spontaneous existence and a mass shift in perception or every single Karin was someone else before and that the differences come from the original person's major traits resonating with that aspect of Karin?
