I'm surprised no one is blaming him for making a weird wish that impacted someone whom he hadn't seen in years in a horrific way.
Like imagine if she didn't remember him at all and she would be so confused why she's suddenly 3 different people.

As others already pointed out, no part of his wish included splitting her. But I'm also pretty sure the charm was bullshitting when it said it split her apart just because of how much he wanted to see her. Chapter 2, page 19, "whoever he doesn't choose disappears... as that is HER wish" - how could she wish for that if she weren't the one wishing to be split in the first place?

I like how he was honest about there being some attributes of her that he found to be annoying. Sure it made her initially self-conscious, but it's also probably why she decided to trust in him, even if she feels unable to trust anything else since he got real with her, he told her essentially to her face what he loved about her and the "flaws" he noticed about her, and ultimately showed that love isn't about thinking the other person is perfect, it's about loving them even when "flaws" do pop up (within reason of course, obviously there are some things you shouldn't compromise on, but the point is that no two people are ever so compatible that there isn't at least one or two details that you don't like, what matters most is how you feel about the rest of that person.) It's honestly a breath of fresh air to have a male protagonist who can admit that his girl isn't perfect (outside of the "can't cook to save her life trope,") but he still loves her even knowing her flaws

The charm needs to just give her the ability to multiply. Dude's gonna go full "Gotta Catch em' All" on every split anyway, so just let him enjoy a girlfriend that can split at will already! If anything, the charm is only causing trouble for the school; no way they'll have enough seats for every Karin by the end.

He didn't wish for this specifically is the reason. He wished to see her again multiple times and the prayer bag misinterpreted that to mean that there should be more of her to choose from. The prevailing theory is that Karin herself made some kind of wish that she would just disappear if she couldn't be with him, so it's most likely all because the two wishes merged together

Exact same memories, but different feeling and attitude toward them huh. I imagine this could get real complex when more characters enter the mix.
