Why are you on my ignore list?

"Checks comments"

Ah, wait, you're the "STOP HAVING FUN!" person, yeah you're staying in the list.
Yeah you always want to have fun by being a leech in life and bragging about never paying for a thing and getting annoyed when the creators who bring us these works actually get paid and noticed, thats illegal in your narcissistic world

This is why you got no friends and have to spend all your time on reddit and mangadex comments, 12k comments really? wtf

Get a life

Honestly not too much of a fan of the Official Translation. They turned the 'Na-Na-Na-Na' (as in the 4 childhood friends, Osananajimi) into 'Cha-Cha-Cha-Cha' as in Childhood friends. Ik it's a language thing, but the Na has a better ring to it.
yeah, we're smart enough that a TL note explaining it is enough. They don't have to force the localization that much.

yeah how dare the author wants to make money from her work, she should be doing this for the work experience
Because that's not how you make money in the manga scene. This isn't the 90s/2000s, people straight up won't buy unknown paperbacks. They'll read it, decide if they like it or not and then purchase accordingly. Same with music and most forms of classic media

If it weren't for pirating, Oda wouldn't have my money, neither would Junishi,Takehiko Inoue, or Chihiro Ishizuka among many others who's works now grace my shelves.

I'm not paying an annual subscription for media I can't own, nor am I going to pay for currency to unlock manga chapters (fuck Comikeys). Hell, without pirating I'd probably never have gotten into anime and manga as I have.

Take your outdated stance on media ownership and shove it.

At least it's not paywalled like MangaPlaza and other sites
Yeah M+ is my least disliked "official", followed by Viz, but I'm also not in a locked region so I understand others may have different opinions.

I'm just glad it's Mangaplus and not that fuckass site Viz :nyoron:
What's the issue with Viz? Only issue I have with them is the UX to find their current releases is not great.

So you want the author to decline hosting in an online site and do what exactly? Wrote all that bullshit for literally no reason

Very easy to have opinions when it doesnt effect you in any way shape or form, stop getting triggered when getting called entitled and just be happy that the author is getting more exposure but thats probably too hard for you.

So availability vs. any sort of scummy practices. Got it.
Im surprised you don't have the same issue region issues with M+ though.
WSJ (and by correlation, Shueisha) recognized they have a big market potential in my country through years of us licensing their stuff even before the era of internet. They even provide localization in our language alongside the english version.
The difference between Viz and M+ is that Viz can't even do the literal bare minimum of providing.
