Aka does have a record of awfully written endings, so I'm still skeptical if he's really gonna manage to not ef this one until the end
In case he does I guess I'm just gonna pretend the series ended here 'cause damn he cooked with this chapter

I think this series would've benefited so much if the reincarnation was kept as a crazy coincidence. The moment it turns magical and you introduce a literal god, the drama just doesn't seem that important. It is pretty obvious that the loli god can and maybe will save him.

Why do authors struggle so much with the ending of their series...?
It's way harder than you think. Author has to juggle between the current plotline, hints and unresolved plotlines (and whether they have to solve it or leave as mystery), readers' expectancy, and to top it off the planned-but-aborted/changed beyond recognizition plotlines they've made. Then they need to properly tie things up within the certain timespan/pages while ensuring that the pacing remain consistent and readable.

It's like trying to draw a line while making specific amount of midpoint stops, and there must be roughly the same distance between each stops; now do that without using any measuring tool. See how accurate your line is.

The only reason this tragedy was forced to happen, was because of the pushback against the brother sister relationship.

If people didn’t whine and cry about two people in love, making them uncomfortable on social media over and over and over again, we could’ve had an actual happy ending. Instead of this tragic, forced bullshit when no one is happy but at least some people on Twitter and Tik Tok aren’t angry… right?

If social media didn’t shit on the author so much, this series would’ve had a good ending
This makes absolutely no sense.
Aka is the kind of author that plans the whole story from the beginning, and this was clearly the development he had in mind as shown by outright spoilers in the first season ED of the anime.
It's also weird to think that he would cave in to random people saying stuff on twitter or tiktok. You're completely misunderstanding how much influence this people have and even how much noise they have made.

idk Chief, this was so unhype

why do authors struggle so much with the ending of their series...? like, just dont want some stupid bullshit and people will like it
but well, Aka hasnt been cooking for months now, so no wonder

the only positive of Aqua dying is that the stupid, shoehorned relationship with Kana will never happen, and i really hate her, so any misfortune that befalls her is a positive in my book
I don't think they ever do, it's having the ending they want that's harder, with all the editor pressure

You could read Bakugan to know how the Deathnote duo feel about it

Has Oshinoko become an R18 manga? Because it's either that, or the manga making it super clear that the incestuous relationship being portrayed is a bad thing, otherwise it'd be outright illegal to publish it.

I really think he just died , after all he end up becoming a killer , of course it was to stop an other killer and protect his sister but aqua or I should say goro was a doctor in his mind/soul and always wanted to save people so that’s why he decided to kill Hikaru this way , so he will also commit suicide in the process. To atone for his sins and maybe because he could not continue to live knowing he actually took someone’s life.

Even in the end, Daddy did not regret his sins and still wanted to kill Ruby. As for Aqua, he seems satisfied, but I don't believe this is the end for him yet. I pray he is saved. Ruby will be so sad if he's gone.
