She's rebounding onto the toxic manipulator who's offering her affection. I'm so scared for her :S Thankfully she has friends who can see through this chick's bullshit, hopefully they recognise the signs early and step in.

This series has been in my queue for a while and I finally got to it. I expected...well, I expected something way more typical than this and I love how completely off the rails this is. Of course, the synopsis is intentionally misleading, making you think one character is refined and brilliant while the other is a failure--the truth of course is that everyone in this story is an idiot, and I'm glad the author doesn't hold back on that.

For this chapter, I was so sure the dine and dash was going to result in Kaji-sensei recruiting Tachibana to work off her debt by putting on a costume, but once again the story swerves to avoid the low-hanging tropes.

I didn't expect Kaoru to have a toxic ex, nor did I expect to understand why she would seek her out again so easily. But the way this series has been able to keep the plot moving while developing the characters is really underrated imo. Even the friends, who just started out as two voices speaking the same concerns about Kaoru, have evolved into very distinct characters already.

Also Sensei accidently seducing half the class not just being a one off gag is actually really refreshing. I think Tsukamoto's new feelings for sensei, whether romantic or real platonic idolation, will be important for helping her understand Kaoru later. Because as Tsuka is right now she isn't ready for a relationship
