And what exactly are they doing to him? His problem is that the girls are not interested in him but someone else. Guess what, most guys don't really get any special attention from the girls, unless they work for it. Though the same is true for most girls vice versa. There are the few popular ones who are natural at it, like Rei-sama. This guy Tohno gets plenty of attention, yet annoyingly the girls aren't really interested in him but his brother. Does he do anything to change that? Not really. The one girl who is interested in him specifically needs to work ten times harder because Tohno keeps pushing her away. Most nameless guys or girls would be envious of all that attention from the opposite gender. Sure, they wouldn't know how annoying it can be when it's not really about them, but it's still a lot of interaction they don't have. What a luxurious trauma, really.half of the population factually constantly trying to manipulate him is an objectively small annoyance?you might not be socially normal broski
I think the author was more poking fun at that trope by having the jealous group immediatly get blasted with cold water and the MC just shrugging them off. Plus, I doubt that was an accident. Remember she decided to guard him from annoying girls back when she learned its bad to use him to get closer to Rei. I bet she just played it off as an accident in order to spray them and get them to back off. She's still crazy but decided she needs to be on genuinely good terms with him and never use him for Rei access. (Even a broken clock is right twice a day lol)I see the usual "classroom guys who get petty jealous over the cute girl in class" shtick is being upheld in this series as well.
At least they were warded off with a well-timed accidental hosing down.
Or, in a more optimistic sense, a case of that triangle trope being lampshaded with Rei becoming actively supportive of Youta instead and helping to push them
Did you forget a couple earlier chapters? Tohno was happy with the attention at first. Betrayal after betrayal where the girls dropped him like used tissues the moment they saw a chance with Rei did, and rightfully so, traumatize him. It didnt last until graduation either, the girls remembered Rei and kept trying. And what exactly are they doing to him? His problem is that the girls are not interested in him but someone else. I don't know if I'm socially normal (probably not considering my post count), but you are Tohno's MD account. Don't worry, kid. This will only last until Rei-sama has graduated. And it could be a whole lot worse. All those people treating your fairly, albeit with hidden agendas, could instead be every day comparing you to your brother, telling you how you are nothing compared to him. Your brother could also behave arrogantly toward you, instead of being the nice (but lazy at home) guy he is.
Wait thats actually a really good character development moment you came up with. Its objective in your face proof that she isn't after Rei like the rest.Unfortunately we gotta wait for them to bump into Rei-sama at the summer festival and Tohno to pick going with MC over his brother. It's gotta happen.
We might get that. Or the brothers meeting each other and immediately getting the wrong impression or teaming up.Wait thats actually a really good character development moment you came up with. Its objective in your face proof that she isn't after Rei like the rest.
I really wanna see that happen now
Leave my guy alone. Just women weren't enough and now the guys have became enemies too 😭. Putting that aside, I genuinely expected her to take a bite from that popsicle.

I can't stress enough how much I dislike the cliche of group of jealous classmates, it's just pathetic and nosy.
Go Tohno, ask her out.
Thanks for the chapter!

our houjou ?? NO !! houjou only for MC, go away, all you Houjou fan club members!and has MC finally begun to realize his feelings of love for Houjou?

thank you for translating
I want to see that and reveal that Houjou is also part of that group. In fact it wouldn't surprise me if Urara also has a secret fan club
Makes sense but then again even the whole "big bro fan-club" is pretty stupid which is like the whole deal about this manga. It makes sense for Houjo to have a secret fan club
Think about it, she is probably one of a rare couple of girls who are not actively drooling over Rei-sama, which means that for their class, or even the whole school, she is one of the rare options they have to get a date with
In a way everyone is in the same boat as the MC, except they have it easier since they don't get used as a tool to reach Rei-sama
In fact it wouldn't surprise me if Urara also has a secret fan club
So i see it as all the other guys forming a coalition to go after the rare pool of girls that are not Rei-sama fans, and their role is to keep each other down and away from scoring, that way everyone loses
As thus what Tohno needs to do is ignore them, and ask her on a date, since the whole purpose of that group is to sabotage and cockblock
I think my vote would be on a 'they get separated at the festival and houjou runs into rei before she finds tohno.'Wait thats actually a really good character development moment you came up with. Its objective in your face proof that she isn't after Rei like the rest.
