Ijichi's been so good at being straightforward before this, it made her "as friends" hedge really hurt. Oh honey no, you had it.

But also her reaction to finding out they "held hands" at comiket was fantastic and really raises hopes for genuine poly ending. No competitiveness, just being happy for them and wanting to join in. Love that.

Im actually very curious what the universal tally in ALL manga is for the ratio of firework interrupting vs not, with a sub category for non-firework noise interruptions, and non noise interruptions, and chickens outs or cowardly misdirects.
I feel pretty certain that for a long time fireworks would absolutely be way out ahead, but in the last couple years or so I feel like I have read quite a few manga that bucked the trope and either weren't interrupted (peaking up before or after the fireworks), being able to talk over the fireworks and be understood, or the rare being interrupted at first but making sure to be heard soon after.
