it's the only solution, i mean how do you choose between them, godamn even if i usually like the "girl type" of amane i can't bring myself to cheer only for herI just wish the author had the guts to turn this into an actual bisexual love triangle. It has so much potential for polyamory...
EDIT: Why striking my comment? It's pretty clear both FMC are both close friends and have a thing for the MMC. So why not a "healthy harem" between the three?
Is that what that panel is referencing? I thought it was a reference to the author's notes at the end of Kaguya-Sama; "The goddess of love blesses the fast, not the pure." Also, in case anyone doesn't get it, she's also referencing a manga called "Love is Still Too Early for Himeno-chan" which was hilarious and adorable. It was also a rom-com that managed to find its way to a fitting ending!
This reminds me of a tweet that went super viral a few years ago in Japan. Unfortunately, I can't find it anymore, but it highlighted what made a boy/girl popular in Elementary, Middle, HighSchool and College.
I recall that in Elementary and Middle school, the advice was simply "Be a fast runner," which is why you often see this trope play out in school-themed anime. The other grades, as you can imagine, were pretty much "Be Hot."
For girls, it was pretty much the same for all grades: "Be cute" or "Be Hot."
I don't know what you're referring to, but it isn't exactly weird in Japan for middle and elementary kids to be popular just for being fast runners (Kids are that simple, after all). Which is why you constantly see this trope play out in anime and manga, and the importance that gets put to events around races and so in their festivals. Is that what that panel is referencing? I really truly want to believe. It's just been so freaking sweet so far, it really doesn't need any kind of drama.I think it's a likely outcome. Just, I don't think we're getting it any time soon.
