A literal "they're roommates" ending with another depression slam outta nowhere that gets resolved in 5 pages.

I liked the start of this and a good chunk of the run, but is it mean of me to say that I feel like it's a cheap ending? Am I being unkind to myself?

Author was not cancelled. She was the one who made the decision to end the series (which was still profitable, just not that popular). She said in her goodbye post that she is happy she got to end this series in a planned way, as opposed to her lasts series which was just unceremoniously axed.

So, like it or not, this is the ending the author wanted.

Thankfully her friends managed to pull her out of her depression and fine some drive again. I'm taking those I love yous as romantic even is the author didn't show us a kiss or them only having one bed. And why do I feel Mari's two-tone hair is another phase she's in, she must have been through everything imaginable in 3 years.
