A literal "they're roommates" ending with another depression slam outta nowhere that gets resolved in 5 pages.

I liked the start of this and a good chunk of the run, but is it mean of me to say that I feel like it's a cheap ending? Am I being unkind to myself?

You are just unkind to the author who got cancelled and wasn't able to convey the message they obviously cared about in any kind of detail they had planned for.

Author was not cancelled. She was the one who made the decision to end the series (which was still profitable, just not that popular). She said in her goodbye post that she is happy she got to end this series in a planned way, as opposed to her lasts series which was just unceremoniously axed.

So, like it or not, this is the ending the author wanted.

Yeah, lol... What's wrong with wanting them to say "I love you and I want to be with you forever as the most important person in your life" as if that's not something normal people say when they love rach other?

I say I love you the way you are to my guy friends all the time and it's not cheating on my wife and it doesn't make me gay.
