Eh, I thought the actual ending portion was pretty cute. It had cake, and epithets! And it's true that depression doesn't just get banished once and for all, in many cases, which is important to know.A literal "they're roommates" ending with another depression slam outta nowhere that gets resolved in 5 pages.
I liked the start of this and a good chunk of the run, but is it mean of me to say that I feel like it's a cheap ending? Am I being unkind to myself?
You are just unkind to the author who got cancelled and wasn't able to convey the message they obviously cared about in any kind of detail they had planned for.A literal "they're roommates" ending with another depression slam outta nowhere that gets resolved in 5 pages.

Thank you so much! This was somuch better than I expected at first.Thank you for reading!
I really enjoyed this series when I was following along on Twitter but I didn't expect the translation to be as well liked as it appears to have been. The reaction has been fun to see. It makes me feel a tiny bit of how sugar. talks about feeling seeing the regular, direct replies to her work.
I certainly never expected sugar. herself to notice and then (somewhat) approve of the translation. Kinda cool, kinda scary.
In any case, if you liked this series PLEASE support it financially or maybe even throw sugar. some cash via her Fanbox. It helps support the author and show that the international market is worth caring about, even for smaller manga.
