Is a bit of both, manga chapters take forever to come out and the progression changes in the LN made everything slower compared to how it was in the WN, at least until the manga reach LN Vol.6 (i think this is still going through Vol.3)

There is certain manga, where the official English publisher covers anything a bit risqué (including lingerie) with massive black boxes. So yeah, there are pages where there is more black ink than actual images.

Imagine youre the printing company for physical version and your black ink run out after a few copy XD
