hmmm... did he actually say no though? I see he said that he didn't want to break the childhood friend relationship that he has with her but, that isn't exactly a no~
@sarshi Wut? He's a dude who can cook like a pro, takes really good care of his younger sibling, is already used to working, isn't bad academically if memory serves, doesn't hesitate to protect his friends or those in trouble. He didn't become an obnoxious bastard when the girl he liked fell for another man, he instead was happy for her. I guess he's not bad looking either, nor does he have dubious hobbies (like smoking). How exactly is she too good for him? Following that train of thought, who would be good enough for her? A Prince Charming, haha?
From here on out, either Asuka heals and moves on, rather the same way Kei had to knowing Mayu and him won't be a thing, or this shakeup in Kei and Asuka's dynamic causes him to look at her in another light.
...or things can just be REALLY awkward for 30 pages or so
I'm glad she's fighting, but also I like she didn't given in to that whole 'I'm embarassed for trying' shit. Get it girl!!!! Also, I agree that she's too good for him. I still want her to win though.
At least that proved that Kei is a consistent guy. He has his own first love, and immediately move to Asuka is just like a desperate move. Asuka need to prove more for him, while Kei develop that feeling for her.
