it's not going to end yet since the final panel seems like they're going to adapt the parts after the WN ended which is volume 3 onwards. and the LN is still ongoing.

@Read0nly she doesn't remember it but it's more like an alter ego she can hear A-chan's voice screaming to Katarina but she doesn't really remember anything about it.

She passed away, there is a side story that goes into the details of her best friend as she goes through the emotions of dealing with the death of the MC and how she lived on for entire life until she too passed away (of old age). This explains why Katarina's best friend reincarnated as that other character in the otome story (don't remember her name)

The sequel is going to tank the ratings huh? As far as I'm aware, this is where the web novel ends and it wraps up neatly although a bit abruptly. I heard the light novel artificially extended the story past this point but I don't know the details.
