Of course it's skewed in the favor of the elite. You can bet your ass that in original game this wiould be a cheap gimmick to put the protag in a bind only for her to whip out he higher status and turn tables.

Preeeeety sure I do not remmber modern internal combustion cars being in the Republic. I could imagine them, being rich, using mana stones or whatever to fuel them, but they even have a truck for stairs for the ship.

That's one thing. But then, when they agree to the duel, you somehow get to decide that the rules of the duel dictate that the opponents must kill themselves. WTF?
