OK, thus is not a theory but i think this is what happened, ichinose left the loop before him because she started before him the loop. Theres a limit to how many loops there is. So when we see aoi alone is because she left the loop after so many suicides together. And in the end aoi has to live alone just like ichinose started alone. IM pretty sure its showing like symbolism or like showing equal amount of loop to each other. they both love each other that they gone crazy. we see inchinose starting the loop first and then we see aoi finishing the loop

so my guess is that they both in the end went insane, as we saw in the bloody collage in the end of the dude losing himself. and that someday the loop just randomly ended but they both forgot about the loop bcs well they went insane. like him checking the date out of habit and him going to school despite usually skipping it points that the loop did happen. And then obv he cant really remember her anymore but the feelings are still there.

I'm glad we got a somewhat happy ending, but we definitely needed more chapters to have a proper resolution. It's too bad it got axed without giving it more time to end things well.

Though, I have to say, you could feel their desperation in the sex scenes they were having. I also noticed they even had one threesome in there.

if you look closely you can see that is not even with her anymore. i take it they lost track off eachother by showing him at the fireworks alone. the constant dying prob made them go insane prob also why they cant even remember the loop

Yeah I didn't either I only realized it after someone else pointed it out in the previous chapter comments. I can't lie, the axe really hurt this one. It feels like a meandering journey to nowhere.

Huh . . . So . . . They don't remember anything from the loop? I feel disconnected that they felt somewhat blissful when they meet each other in this chapter. Since they broke up or went out of the rail in the relationship as shown in with the film reel, I figure they would have some bitterness when they met here. Even if they forgot, this chapter still showed they remember the feelings.

some other people theorised that she went insane earlier then him bcs she has been in the loop for who know how much longer then him. So after she stopped showing up he slowly went insane himself. doesnt mean they stopped caring for eachother. it has also been shown they forget stuff that happened bcs wel they saw that movie but both didnt remember they already seen it before. so they essentially forgot about the loop bcs they went insane, but seeing the date change instinctivly made them get up
