Always doing a thankless job, but never expecting thanks. There’s some issues in there to unpack. Fortunately, Amane is here to insist she gets pampered for a job well done. He doesn’t like being the only one being spoiled around here.

And, yeah, I dunno if she quite realizes what she’s doing here.

But also… get it together, you two! You let Ai Mie and Kaede Komura beat you two to this punch! Those two did this almost right away! To be fair, Mie was literally struggling to spear her cake thanks to her near-sightedness, so Komura had to feed her or she’d never get anywhere… but damn was it adorable.

Then again, that was during their very first outing together, and these two haven’t gone out- all their tender moments have been in his apartment, so who’s beating who, huh? Especially when it took Mie and Komura over a year to admit to each other their feelings, though Fujichika Koume kinda glossed over their first year of hanging out together and most of the story took place during their final year of middle school. I’d say it was basically a whole year of Mie getting used to, and fond of, Komura’s help, to the point she preferred his help over anyone else’s.
