So far, after taking Yu Xiao as his shifu, Bai Tian became curious about Yu Xiao's past and promised to help Mo Jiujiu copy some assignments in exchange for her helping him sneak into the study of Xue Shi'er (Shi'er-shishu), where a record book containing the history of all the members of Wu Ming sect is held.
In this chapter, the two are about to begin their sneak-in and are squatting near the library pavilion. Mo Jiujiu wanted to know if Yu Xiao really never told Bai Tian anything about his past and Bai Tian recounts his first meeting with Yu Xiao.

I've read it multiple times now which is why I know the details so feel free to always ask questions if you guys are confused.
