That girl though, wow, what a bitch, immediately goes and talks behind his back, thats some low class shit right there.

It seemed to me like there was some connection to Ms. evil witch, but it was just a random bet with her friends that she could convince him to go to a reunion with her just to make a fool of him in front of everyone or something? That was really weird, I'm not sure why that was included in the story.

I think this event will be one of the triggers that get Grid his overdue char-development. Nothing changes you greatly but the greatest low-down.
