What a lazy cat.

Event 6
Movement: 2km (direction unclear due to significant changes to Earth)
Historical change: Formation timeline of Earth changed, separation of Pangea changed. This results in changes to Earth's magnetic field and structure, though none detrimental to current human existence. Presumably for SCP-3487 to be able to cross a man-made gap, [DATA EXPUNGED] breaches containment in the past, killing ancestors of those responsible for the gap's creation.

If history was rewritten, how did they know it changed? Wouldn't the security camera be useless? Won't everything recorded on it be as if the cat never moved in the first place?

Schrodinger's gonna have a field day with this cat.

I assume Foundation 'monitoring equipment' includes SCPs, so they can identify and record world changing events. For example a bracelet that protect wearer from historical revisions, so they'll have memories of original history, or a document that once written on can never be altered (you can append to it, but previous entries remain identical forever).

the foundation has acsess to several potent tech options that may make this posable. in this instance the monitoring divises probably have a dimensional lock or a memetic dampener to keep them reliable. they aren't fool proof but they do help.

The best kind of SCP. Simultaneously hilarious and clever, while also being mildly horrifying.

Correct, they occasionally use benevolent SCPs who are willing to work with them or Safe-class observation object types that they know how to manipulate. The little eye-drones on wheels that help with containment of 173 come to mind; they never need to blink, so they can keep an unbroken line of sight on it at all times while the cleaners go about their business.
