What he want to cure is the death itself.....
When he sensed someone is dying , he will attacked that person and then performed CURE on the dead body
The body then will re-animated as living dead but without conscious yet somehow The Plague Doctor can controlled those body to act all he want

The more it goes, the more I think this "plague doctor" is nothing but a 15th century scammer who began to believe his own lies.
While it's evident this guys is anomalous in his own way (coat and mask symbiosing with his body, near-immortality), I think his zombification process is mostly an alternate use of SCP-008 (zombie plague).


According to the new report, he shows suspecious signs of denial over his own "cure", so I think he's just is lying to himself.

I think The Plague Doctor was omce a necromancer who through some kind of dark magic merged with his Plague Doctor outfit and used his powers to bring the dead back to life in some misguided attempt to "cure" patience of "death". I think the doctor sees death as a disease, thus why his surgery turns dead people into zombies
